Pandemic Safety Procedures

I take Coronavirus and covid 19 seriously

  • At this point and time, if you are vaccinated, I will work with you. If you are unvaccinated, please understand that I do not wish to put you at risk of infection, nor do I wish to put any of my high risk clients at risk, even though they may be already vaccinated themselves. Please get vaccinated unless you have a medical reason preventing you from doing so. If my stance here is a problem for you, then I know I am not the right therapist for you and someone else can better serve you.

  • Please do not come if you are sick or exposed. As always, it is not appropriate to receive massage if you are currently sick. In the case of Covid, however, this is particularly important. Please do not come if you are even suspicious that you are sick, or have been exposed to someone you know has the Coronavirus in the last 14 days. If you have been exposed and come out of quarantine with a clean test after 14 days, I will be happy to see you.

  • Masks: Massage is inherently a close contact occupation, and my office is indoors. I will confer with my vaccinated clients about their preferences around mask wearing, and meet them at their preferences. While I know that wearing masks is no one’s favorite thing (including mine), the data show that masks make a difference in controlling the spread. I will happily wear mine if it helps my client feel comfortable.

  • Cleaning: I always keep my massage tools clean. I clean the table and face cradle, and swap out sheets between clients. I still do this. As I am now doing outcall only, there is less need for me to have my space clean but I do ask that the space I am going to please be clean, as well.

  • Rarefied booking: I am booking clients at this time, however I am spacing them out dramatically. This is a stop gap. In the case of a possible exposure, it will drastically lower the total number of contacts and potential spread.

  • Personal policy: I am careful in public and vaccinated. We are still living our lives, however we are doing so carefully. I am cautious and respectful when deciding where to go and how to go there. You trust me enough to give you a massage at this time, and I will strive to be worthy of that trust. In the event that I or a member of my family gets sick, I will immediately notify any clients that may be affected and quarantine. I ask that my clients notify me immediately if it may affect me that they become sick, as well.

  • Following the rules and mandates: I will comply with all government mandates regarding safety around Coronavirus. If this means that in the future I must cancel or delay appointments, I reserve the right to do so, and will reschedule for as soon as possible.

  • Client choices: We are all making hard choices in these times about how to conduct ourselves. If I feel, after conversation with my client, that massage is not indicated in the current situation due to illness or risk of illness, I reserve the right to cancel appointments for the protection of not only myself and family, but also my other clients. I would expect the same of my clients if I were engaged in dangerous behavior, and will respect their wishes.
